  • African American Mosaic - A good way to access the collection of documents at Library of Congress pertaining to black history. The site is divided into four categories: Colonization. Abolition, Migration and the WPA.

  • African Americans in the Sciences (The Faces of Science) - Features African-Americans who have contributed to the advancement of science, mathematics or engineering. Includes biographies and extensive bibliographies. Pictures included for most.

  • Africana.com - This site's stated aim is to provide authoritative information about the whole world of Africa and her Diaspora including news and analysis, reviews and personal essays from all around the world. A good site to consult for people and current events in the black community.

  • Martin Luther King Papers Project - The King Papers Project is a major research effort to assemble and disseminate historical information concerning Martin Luther King, Jr. and the social movements in which he participated. Located at Stanford University.

  • MLK Web: A Teacher's Guide - A well-categorized directory of Web resources on Martin Luther King, Jr. Designed to assist teachers in preparing a classroom curriculum, but helpful to anyone.
